Be aware that while this hardware is not mandatory, it is suggested for optimal use. Gem Logic can fully function without this hardware.
We believe retailers, workshops, and jewelry makers should all have these hardware devices.
BARCODE SCANNER
Any barcode scanner capable of reading both barcodes and QR codes is suitable for use. These scanners are readily available online at affordable prices.
For a jewelry store setting, we recommend compact and discreet scanners, as they tend to blend in better than larger, bulkier models.
Please note that these scanners connect to your devices (computers, tablets) via Bluetooth or cable, meaning they can only pair with one device at a time. For instance, if you have three tablets in your store, you would need to connect a separate barcode scanner to each tablet.

TAG PRINTER
There's a wide variety of product tag printers available, each differing in shape and size, and jewelers often already possess one. To address this, we've incorporated a "Product Tag" configuration screen in our software. This feature enables you to tailor or "calibrate" the product tags in Gem Logic to be compatible with your existing tag printer. If you encounter any difficulties in configuring your tag printer with Gem Logic, please don't hesitate to contact us for assistance.
Zebra ZD421D
The Zebra ZD421D is a very solid choice for a tag printer, it is compatible with Windows & Mac, and has Wifi/Network/Cable possibilites.

RECEIPT PRINTER
Gem Logic produces A4 documents with your logo and company details. Documents like invoices, delivery forms, repair forms, etc... For printing these documents/receipts, a regular printer suffices. We recommend a printer with WIFI capabilities to ensure seamless printing from all devices.
Brother HL-L8260CDW
This printer stands out as an excellent option, offering one of the best value-for-money deals available. It features color printing, WIFI capability, and a large paper tray. As previously mentioned, if you already own a functioning printer, it should be compatible with Gem Logic too.
LABEL PRINTER
Gem Logic creates "Repair Labels" and "Sale Labels" that are designed to be attached to jewelry envelopes, facilitating the physical management and tracking of sales and repairs in your shop. These labels include all essential information about the client, the work required, deadlines, and more. Their format is identical to that of standard shipping labels. Therefore, we recommend using a dedicated label printer for this task to ensure efficiency and clarity in label printing.
